Lies jeden Satz und rate das unterstrichene Wort:

Antonyme als Kontexthinweise sind besonders zuverlässig: Wenn der Satz ein Gegensatzpaar enthält (“Unlike his timid brother, he was very brave”), erklärt das bekannte Wort (“brave”) das unbekannte (“timid”). Synonymdefinitionen erkennst du an Gedankenstrichen, Klammern oder dem Wort “or”: “She was elated — overjoyed” oder “The arid, or dry, climate…”. Nutze diese Signale aktiv beim Lesen.
